Don't get me wrong... I love to pray. The connection with God through prayer is one of the best things God lets us do. But, imagine this.....

You have been fasting for 24 hours. You have not eaten anything. Then you have lunch with a bunch of fellas and you ask a freind to pray for the food. After 2 minutes into the prayer, you regret leting that person pray because you are drooling to the smell of the food in front of you. I mean, you have not eaten anything in 24 hours. Everyone else is trying there best to hold their saliva in their mouth. After the 4 minute, one of your other friends saves the day and squizing an amen before the prayer is finished.

Ok lets take a look at what happened. What is up with long prayers before a meal? I mean, I cannot consentrate more than 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds all I can think is how to shut up the person praying becasue I am hungery and in front of me there is one good looking, yummy smelling and awesome tasting hamburger, with swiss cheese on top, a tab of guacamole, lettuce, tomtato, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard in a warm bun. I mean, I love God with all my heart but long prayers before a meal are just wrong.

The moral of the story: If you want to pray for alot of stuff during a meeting that is in a restaurant, save the prayer until everyone is done eating or while the server is serving drink.
