Today I recieved a question that sadden me deeply. The question was not as bad as the reason for the question.

This morning I recieved an email asking our church "What is your position with Homosexuality?"

What kind of question is that.... we are a church.... a Christ following church.... that should already be known.

My answer went as follows:

Thank you for your email. Our church is founded on the principle set in the bible. In Leviticus 18:22 and also in 1 Corinthians 6:9 the bible makes the stand of homosexuality being a sin just like adultery. We the church consider the same. I hope this answers your question.

If you are a homosexual and/or know of someone that is, they are welcome in our church. We want them to come. God intended for all of us to experience Him.

Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

After I sent the emial, it took about 2 hours before the person to respond and his respond went as followed:

"A band that I will not name claimed you as their home church. Before I bought the album for my son I like to do as much research on them as possible. So I just wanted to know what was being feed into them before I let them into my home. So many Christians to day do not live their lives by what the Bible says, but by what does not offend others or what is socially acceptable to the world. It is good to hear that there are church’s that have the love of the sinner and the knowledge of the sin. Thank you so much for answering me."

This reply sadden me deeply. I do not question his motives for they are good and resonable. but why would someone have to ask such a question for such a purpose. The answer is becasue society is no longer compfortable with the Christian Church. Sin is being accepted as a life style in churches now days. There is an emerging church that accepts sin. Do not get me wrong, I love the sinner. Our church is full of them. I sin like crazy too but we cannot accept the sin. That is anti- biblical.

The dad did the right thing in investigating what his children listed. I encourage every parent to do the same.
